Cardinal Designs was commissioned by Canadian builder, DKV Coastal, to adorn this newly constructed home. We received glowing feedback from the client, who stated, “The colors, the art, and the furniture choices are perfect!” We are thrilled.
The Great Room
Masterfully expressive and fancifully colorful artwork make this great room come to life. The giant images of a little boy underwater evoke whimsy and make a lasting impression. The exceptionally high, 14 foot ceilings begged for larger pieces of furniture. The voluminous ceilings cry out for expansive artwork to reveal their heights. We chose a neutral, modern, Scandinavian sectional with pops of cool, blue and yellow-toned pillows to add to the adventurous feel of the room.
Living Room and Eat-in-Kitchen Area
Coastally modern, with a touch of glam, is how we would describe the downstairs family room. The deep blue, classic Broyhill sofa, with its lime green geometric shapes definitely transports viewers to memories of the beach. This quaint room is compact, so we used an oversized galvanized mirror to expand visual space. The fluffy, gold accented stools add a special allure to the space without crowding the area. The open/eat-in-kitchen was refined by the addition of a glass top table accented by blue fabric chairs.
The Master Bedroom/Bath
An impressive headboard establishes bold style in this luxury master en suite. The king size bedroom set was a perfect choice to highlight the massive expanse of this room. Utilizing a neutral duvet allows the copious amounts of windows, embracing the Juliette balcony, to take center stage. The room ‘s natural design and view actually feel like artwork. The master en suite offers much stimulation for the senses. A giant soaking tub and large shower complement its beauty. We just added some softness with a couple of pictures and luxurious towels.
